At Via Clinic, we offer a comfortable and confidential approach to treatment. Our mission is to facilitate healing through the creation and nourishment of quality therapeutic relationships. Every patient receives a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation. Our approach to psychopharmacology is conservative and evidence-based. We believe in thoughtfully prescribing psychotherapy based on the person and the problem, rather than attempting to treat everyone with the same restrictive methodology.

Depression is an easily misunderstood disorder and this can make it difficult for those who suffer from it. Making sense of emotions and behaviors is difficult and can be frustrating for both patients and family members.
People often struggle with a troubling mix of symptoms - such as sadness, worry, irritability, insomnia or inattention - and behaviors - such as drug use, social withdrawal, compulsions, or self-injury.
Often we try to explain these problems in the context of our lives but fail to find relief.
At Via Clinic we believe psychotherapy is the driving force behind lasting change.
While medications may quickly provide symptomatic relief, research has shown that psychotherapy provides a gradual and sustainable improvement that continues well beyond completion of therapy.
The term psychotherapy covers a broad range of personal encounters where a community-sanctioned helper (the therapist) meets with a person or persons to provide relief through spoken words or actions.
At Via Clinic, this encounter is between a clinician and patient.
Therapy works through the formation of a relationship whereby the therapist skillfully influences change in a manner that relieves the individual.

Pharmacotherapy is often integral in facilitating the healing process.
At Via Clinic we believe in well rounded and comprehensive medical management that goes well beyond "just the meds."
At Via Clinic we may practice combined medical management and psychotherapy, or we may co-manage alongside a primary therapist in the community.
These medical management sessions are 25 minutes in length.
We believe in minimizing the number of medications managed via careful selection and monitoring, as well as thorough discussions of risks and benefits.
