At Embodied Psychotherapy, we provide an integrative approach to individual, couples, and group therapy. The word embodied reflects our belief in the inseparable and vital relationship between our emotional, intellectual, and physical lives. Through bringing awareness to the present moment, we can uncover our capacity to bravely open to the fullness of our experience and create change from a place of wisdom and compassion.
Services
Our work is based on Mindfulness, Buddhist Psychology, and Gestalt Therapy.
All are adept approaches to increasing awareness of our embodied experience and discovering more authentic ways of living a fulfilling life.
Our approach works to help clients develop resiliency, emotional flexibility, and explore the careful balance between acceptance and change.
We support clients' process of deepening into a more compassionate and loving relationship with themselves and the world by accepting who they truly are.
Individual therapy provides a vital space for identifying, understanding and transforming our suffering.
Our challenges can often provide a gateway to deeper growth, understanding, and insight.
Oftentimes we spend tremendous energy moving away from what is uncomfortable and painful and yet find ourselves more entangled and stuck.
Therapy offers an opportunity to deepen awareness into our habitual thought patterns and behaviors that limit our capacity for openness, resilience, and kindness for ourselves and others.
Please send either Kerry or Banjo an email if you're a prospective client and we will forward you a copy of the initial paperwork.

Always check with your insurer, as some programs have multiple plans that reimburse out of network providers (often at a different rate), and some have multiple plans that may or may not contract with me.
Finally, ask about Copay and Deductible information.
Our therapy office is on the second floor of the newly-renovated D Street Village, located on Division Street between 30th and 31st Avenue in Southeast Portland.
Free street parking is usually available on this block.
This location is also easily accessed using public transportation (trimet.org) from many parts of the Portland metro area.
The building and office are ADA accessible with a wheelchair lift and elevator to the second floor.
While waiting for your appointment time, make yourself comfortable our waiting room.
