I am truly blessed.
For the past 13 years, I have found a profession that encompasses so many of my interests: study, creating relationships, personal well-being, creativity, and walking alongside people who endeavor health, healing, and personal growth.
My work incorporates influences from several theoretical paradigms but I have come to realize that the core to effective therapy is a strong and trusting relationship between therapist and client.
One of the reasons this is important is because dysfunctional relationships are often at the core of our suffering.

I come from a background of working with high need individuals and developing programs with an emphasis on social justice and empowerment in the treatment of mental health issues.
I bring this experience and perspective into my clinical practice.
My approach is strength based 'technical eclecticism', tailoring interventions to the needs and preferences of each client.
Therapeutic interventions take on a whole person approach and emphasize the importance of 'person in environment'.
An individual is required to navigate the overlapping systems (career, family, interpersonal relationships, community etc.) that occur in the environment.

I believe as humans, our journeys are each unique and important.
I value the individuality of my clients and their stories, and I make it a priority to provide a safe, welcoming place to talk about one's struggles and goals, and explore how to achieve them.
My goal is to foster an open, warm, and honest relationship where we can work together to get the most out of therapy.
I love working with all ages and have been privileged to gain experience working with children, teens, young adults struggling with ADHD, ODD, depression, and anxiety, along with other transitions that come with life.

We all exist along a scale of relationships that define and guide us through life.
Whether we are talking about the relationship one has with one's self, family members, friends, colleagues, ancestors, society and culture, and the natural world, just to name a few, we take definitions, meaning, and feedback from these relationships to create a sense of self and others.
My goal is to provide an empathetic and nurturing therapeutic environment that allows for safe exploration of the themes you would like to explore.
