My goal is to provide a thorough evaluation, through which we can develop a reasonable differential diagnosis, that is, a list of diagnostic possibilities. From there, we can develop a mutually agreed upon treatment plan which may include medication, therapy/counseling, exercise, complementary or so called integrative approaches, or further medical evaluation including lab tests and/or referral for specific evaluation for possible contributory medical concerns.
As a psychiatrist I am a medically trained physician with special training in assessing and treating psychic distress from a wide variety of causes, including primary psychiatric disorders, as well as problems caused or contributed to by stress, and or acute or chronic medical problems. My special areas of interest include: psychopharmacology; mood and anxiety disorders of all types; geriatric issues; addictions; and the complex interface of medicine and psychiatry.
As a team, with our office staff, we hold honesty and integrity as our overarching guiding principles.
