We provide Aquatic Therapy in specialized warm-water therapeutic pools for rehabilitation and exercise. Licensed physical and occupational therapists design individualized programs and guide patient instruction. The treatment supports recovery alongside short-term or outpatient therapy services. It helps improve mobility, strength, and flexibility in a safe, controlled environment. 
Our Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Facilities (IRFs) provide intensive rehabilitation services for individuals requiring specialized recovery support. We prioritize daily living skills and functional mobility to increase independence. Care is delivered through an interdisciplinary team that plans and coordinates treatment. We support safe discharge planning to return patients to home and community environments. 
LTAC patients are admitted from acute care hospitals such as community and regional facilities where stays are typically brief. These individuals require extended, complex management of acute and chronic medical conditions. Our services support patients whose needs cannot be rapidly resolved in other settings. We ensure coordinated rehabilitation and medical care throughout their recovery journey. 
We provide outpatient rehabilitation services that allow patients to choose their care with us. We deliver one-on-one therapy, flexible appointment times, and timely evaluations. Our hospitals feature large gyms with advanced equipment and therapeutic pools. Our multidisciplinary team includes physiatrists and therapists across specialties. We also offer real-world training and specialized technologies like the AlterG treadmill. 
Whittiers Physical Therapy services focus on comprehensive evaluation and individualized treatment planning to enhance functional mobility. Our therapists address bed mobility, transfers, and ambulation through targeted clinical techniques and modalities. We aim to improve range of motion, reduce pain, and support safer movement. Patient education is integrated to encourage long-term independence and recovery. 
We deliver Prosthetics & Orthotics care in partnership with Cornell Orthotics & Prosthetics, focusing on individualized assessments and customized prosthetic and bracing solutions. Through weekly clinical sessions, we assist patients recovering from amputations in restoring mobility. Services span Bradford and Westborough with coordinated referrals and multidisciplinary team including physicians and therapy professionals ensuring integrated care. 
We provide pulmonary rehabilitation therapy across our accredited acute rehabilitation hospitals within Whittier Health Network. Our Bradford location serves the greater Boston and Merrimack Valley regions, while Westborough supports central Massachusetts. Medical Director
Dr. Liguori earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of NY at Buffalo School of Medicine. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation and a Master of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Liguori is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a Certified Wound Care Specialist.

My daughter was recently in a serious ski accident. Post surgery, and after a one month hospital stay, she was transferred to Whittier rehab in Bradford. We could not have been happier or more satisfied with the level of care, patience and kindness that she received. From the initial care coordinators to Drs Ligouri and Pant, the nurses and CNAs, as well as the outstanding work with Victoria from PT, and Emmarose from OT, she couldnt have been in better hands while at Whittier. She learned the tools to become mobile again and is on her way to full recovery.

I had an exceptional experience while a patient at Whittier rehabilitation. I came to Whittier after a laminectomy during cancer treatment. I was in a hospital bed for 28 days. One of the highlights of my stay was working with Dorothy Jordan. Dorothy diagnosed my beta blockers/heart meds were causing me to pass out. She spent a day filling me with fluids while I spent the day inverted to clear my body of the beta blockers. I cant thank her enough for her care and compassion. In addition the PT/OT staff went above and beyond to get me back on my feet. The inpatient and outpatient PT staff are exceptional. I am 18 months out from my initial stay and back at a second round of PT/OT. I am so grateful for the efforts of the entire staff. Each staff member has read my chart before treatment and pushes me a little further each session. The entire staff and reception area folks are caring and compassionate and so knowledgeable. The fall that paralyzed my left side and subsequent laminectomy that brought me to Whittier had me questioning would I ever return to being functional. It is my belief that when I finish this second round of PT/OT I will be back to my pre fall self. I am blessed to have the Whittier Staff working with me.

I was happy that when I called about a concern I had with my right knee replacement that I got an appointment the very next day. I was happy that the 3 out of 4 staff members that I saw were staff that I had almost 3 years ago. I was really glad that l had the same PA. After our conversation, he gave me the confidence I needed that I had no problem happening with that knee. I can always trust Whittier Rehab Hospital for my needs. Thank You again!!

Whittier Rehab has been such a positive force in my brother Toms recovery post brain surgery. The gains my brother has been able to achieve are because of the dedication and attention they poured into him! All of the therapists: Occupational, Physical, and Speech are all caring and patient individuals who truly care about their patients safety and progress, we are so thankful to them all! Drs Breen and Ligouri have been instrumental in getting Tom the correct therapy and management to keep him moving forward in his ongoing recovery. They truly are amazing physicians who care for each of their patients. Jolene and Paula are two of the finest, caring nurses we have ever encountered, and it is such a pleasure to see them and work with them. We are a Whittier family for life!

I have never been in a rehabilitation hospital before my experience at Whittier following a stroke that needless to say was shocking to myself and my family. I had no idea what to expect accept I knew how deeply I wanted to get better. Whittier met and exceeded those hopes. I cannot say enough about how fabulous and amazing their PT and OT personnel are. There was never a boring or routine day. Every day brought new ways to help in my reaching goals I never thought Id be able to do again. Id finish sessions with amazed joy and sense of such blessings for my therapists. I HIGHLY recommend Whittier for their stroke recovery program as well as all other serious recoverys from acute illnesses. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Meg and Meghan and all staff at Whittier!!! Now I begin my out patient rehabilitation at, of course, Whittier.
